It was a good week! We were able to meet with some people who we haven't been able to meet with in a long time, and get a dinner set up with one of them! We had a total of 8 lessons this week. We were supposed to have a lot more, but many cancelled or pooped out for other reasons (like a set up). The recent converts are still giving us referrals so we are staying busy! Still seeking service. The Stake has organized trips to go to the neighboring Goldsboro and Kinston Zones because of the flooding there from the Neuse River. Needless to say, we can't go to that, but there is still some stuff to do here! Mold is a serious problem now. Especially under peoples houses.
This week, there was 7 wrecked cars from 4 people in the branch. All separate crashes. One family had their son rear-end a car who had stopped for a school bus on a divided Highway (you don't do that if you are on the opposite side), then when picking up a part for said car (he is very handy) they got backed into by someone who wasn't paying attention. The dad rear-ended someone on his way to work when it was raining. Then another family lost their car in the OBX when the Hurricane came through. Their daughter went to work down there and got stuck so the floodwaters claimed their car. When shopping for another car someone hit them and totaled that car as well. Two other families got hit in various situations. One member's son was in an apartment complex that had over 4 feet of water in it, and needless to say his Altima didn't make it. But we are safe!
Anyway, that is pretty much all this week. Next week I will be emailing on Tuesday because Elder Bennett rescheduled for Monday. But look for the pictures!
Have a great week! I love you!
