This week was amazing!
We got 2 new investigators! The first one was an old Church Headquarters referral that we finally got ahold of. She was asking all the right questions and mentioned about how we have been able to answer a lot of the questions that no one else would/could answer. The other investigator is Teresa's BFF! She is already game to live the Word of Wisdom and came to church yesterday! She is ELECT!! So very excited for her!!
Then we got an additional 3 baptismal dates this week. Three siblings who are 11, 12, and 15. Their Mom is a member who hasn't come in a long while, but still knows most things about the church. We didn't have a chance to ask for permission from her before we asked the kids, and so afterward we pulled her aside and just laid out the expectations we had for them and her (getting and staying active mainly) and she was fully on board and willing! It was also cool because we didn't want to ask without her permission and wasn't planning on doing it, but when Elder Latimer was talking I had the impression to do it and I thought to myself "If he doesn't right now, I will." Then he did it! We have been seeing a lot of that lately and it is amazing to know that the Spirit is with us.
I'm learning that the Lord's timetable is not ours and sometimes we need to roll with it.
This week was very productive. lots of appointments and a meeting in Kinston. We have had some amazing weather and gorgeous thunderstorms and lightning shows in the evenings...my favorite time of year out here. Even if the heat index is at 105.
